This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for October 28, 2007:
I will be helping my neighbor finish her siding project on her new garage, and picking apples off a tree in a pasture on some vacant property. These are the BEST apples I've ever used to make pies and crisps. I wait every fall for this opportunity.
Yea!!
Yea!!

Help

Ash, if you're looking forward to doing a siding project I'd say you've got an 'A' type personality going on!
The apples, now those are something to look forward to! I'm going to go take a bite out of a Honey Crisp apple right now! The smells of fall!
The Type A if a bingo. The Honey Crisp is A1..We luv luv Fall…………
Thanks for the comment
That did it … I have to buy apples now. We don't have an orchard, but the Fresh Market should be OK.
I just bought a Pampered Chef apple corer and slicer. In theory, press down and you have 10 perfect apple slices sans the core. We shall see. I am the “Lazy Non-Chef” and am lulled by the thought of instant apple slices not purchased in a bag at the store! If it's anything like their cheese slicer you need to be left handed to operate the gadget. I'm becoming more ambidexterous every time I slice cheese so maybe it will train my left hand to know what my right hand is doing! All in the name of fall apples! Mmmmm.
